Taste of Chicago

January 19, 2014

We had our first event June 15 and 16 at the Taste of Randolph in Chicago – it was a smashing success. We were the proud suppliers of over 40 pairs of Helo shorts to guys that had been looking for a comfortable quick drying undershort their whole lives!

The event itself was really cool, if you haven’t ever been to a taste festival, I’d highly recommend it. Basically it’s a street party where all kinds of restaurants (we’re talking local restaurants – not your Burger Kings or elephant ears) offer a sample of their most popular dishes. At Randolph, everything was under $10. I’d recommend wearing pants that are loose fitting, or stretchy because you will eat a lot, and room for expansion is critical. They also served booze which was great as it was almost 90 degrees every day.If you came out and chatted with us, we really appreciate and hope you are having a great summer. We met tons of cool people, and we also that one creepy guy that wants to become your best friend and to never leave your booth– you know who you are creepy guy, not cool.

We have another event this weekend in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It’s at the BOB. Come on out, and check out the Helo tent if you’re in the area. It should be a great time!

It seems like most people in our network have cabins. Unfortunately, we don't.  So how do you survive if all your friends are going "up North" for the weekend (when they don't invite you)?
